Victor Moscoso, born 1936, was a the first rock poster designer with an academic training. Victor Moscoso studied art at Cooper Union in New York and at Yale University. Later he moved to San Francisco and attended at the San Francisco Art Institute. Victor Moscoso is famous for his poster and album covers for musicians Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Herbie Hancock, Jed Davis and David Grisman. He also created t-shirt designs, billboards, animated commercials and comix for Zap Comix.
